The Matrescence Project

Matrescence is the profound transition we experience as we become mothers. It shapes us physically, emotionally, mentally and socially, yet so many of us move through it believing we’re the only one feeling this way.
The Matrescence Project exists to change that.
This is an ongoing storytelling initiative where mothers from around the world are invited to anonymously share a moment, a season or a truth from their journey into motherhood. Each month, one story will be carefully chosen and shared (anonymously) with the Mahina community, with the hope that another mother will read it and think:
“Me too.”
Your story doesn’t need to be extraordinary.
It can be joyful or heartbreaking.
Messy or beautiful.
About birth, postpartum, identity, grief, healing, love, or an ordinary moment that quietly changed you forever.
If it has shaped your experience of becoming a mother, it belongs here.
Thank you for trusting me with your words. Every story is read with care, whether it is shared publicly or simply held.
I can’t wait to witness your story.
